Five Springboks have joined the Golden Lions for the remainder of their Currie Cup campaign.
They are Ross Cronjé, Courtnall Skosan, Andries Coetzee, Malcolm Marx and Ruan Dreyer.
Elton Jantjies and Franco Mostert have joined their clubs in Japan.
Meanwhile, the Lions confirmed that Ruan Combrinck underwent an operation on his left shoulder on Tuesday after sustaining the injury in Japan last weekend. He is expected to return to play in six months.
The Lions, who are fourth on the Currie Cup log, host the Free State Cheetahs in their last league match on Saturday.
