Super Rugby assistant Pote Human will lead the Blue Bulls coaching staff during the 2018 Currie Cup.
With John Mitchell stepping aside to focus on the junior structures at the union, the experienced Human will take over as head coach of the Currie Cup team.

Human will be assisted by former Bulls hooker Gary Botha and current Super Rugby backline coach Hayden Groepes.
The 59-year old coached the Bulls in 2006 when a Botha-led team drew with the Cheetahs to share the Currie Cup and he assisted Heyeneke Meyer during the 2007 Super 14 season.
The Currie Cup Premier Division will kick off in Bloemfontein on 17 August when the Free State Cheetahs host the Bulls.
