The inclusion of Burger Odendaal is one of three changes to the Lions’ starting lineup for their crucial clash with the Vodacom Bulls at Loftus on Wednesday.
The Lions will travel to Pretoria for their rescheduled match against the Bulls, and coach Ivan van Rooyen has made just three personnel swaps from the team that bested the Pumas on Saturday.
In the backline, Odendaal comes in at outside centre at the expense of Wandisile Simelane, who drops to the bench.
Up front, Marnus Schoeman replaces Jaco Kriel at openside flank and Jannie du Plessis starts at tighthead prop ahead of Wiehahn Herbst.
Scrumhalf Ross Cronje and loose forward Francke Horn are the new additions to the bench.
