Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth is set for another spell on the sidelines after suffering a calf injury ahead of Toulon’s Top 14 match against Perpignan.
According to RMC Sport, the torn calf muscle is expected to keep Etzebeth out of action for the next four weeks.
Etzebeth only last weekend returned from a three-month break due to concussion protocol, his first appearance of the season against Bordeaux.
The 30-year-old will be leaving Toulon at the end of the season to join the Sharks. He has signed a deal with the Durban franchise until 2027.
