The Lions confirmed on Tuesday that five players, including Elton Jantjies, have been struck by injury.

Jantjies (rib), Marvin Orie (concussion) and Dylan Smith (calf strain) were injured in the Lions’ Super Rugby encounter against the Sharks in Durban.

Sylvian Mahuza (hip strain) and Len Massyn (ankle) sustained injuries during the Golden Lions’ Provincial Rugby Challenge match against the Sharks XV.

The Lions have a bye in Super Rugby this weekend, but all the players – except Massyn – are expected to be fit for their next game against the Bulls.
