Scottish fullback Stuart Hogg has been ruled out of the British & Irish Lions’ tour of New Zealand due to a fractured cheekbone.
Hogg collided with teammate Conor Murray in Saturday’s clash against the Crusaders on Saturday, with scans later revealing that it is a tour-ending injury.
‘Stuart has been a key member of our squad on and off the field, and it is disappointing to see injury cut short his time with us in New Zealand,’ coach Warren Gatland commented.
No replacement will be called-up at this point, reducing the touring party to 40 players.
