Montpellier owner Mohad Altrad has suggested that Vodacom Bulls and Bok flyhalf Handré Pollard has ‘agreed in principle’ to join the French club after the World Cup.

If Pollard does sign for Montpellier, he will link up with fellow South Africans Bismarck, Jannie and Jacques du Plessis, Nicolaas Janse van Rensburg, Paul Willemse, Wiaan Liebenberg, Ruan Pienaar, Jan Serfontein, Frans Steyn, Johan Goosen and Henry Immelman, who are all on the club’s books.

Altrad also confirmed that Vern Cotter will be elevated to the director of rugby, with forrmer France international Xavier Garbajosa taking over as head coach.
