A round up of what some of South Africa’s leading Sunday papers are saying, including a link between England and Bok forwards coach Matt Proudfoot.

In the latest update on the Springbok coaching group for 2020, it appears that the Boks could be without Matt Proudfoot from next year onward. According to the story in Rapport, Proudfoot is set to join Eddie Jones’ backroom staff in England. Proudfoot played a major part in the 2019 World Cup win despite not being part of Rassie Erasmus’ original plans. His place in the Bok coaching setup will be taken by Deon Davids.

Staying with Rapport, the newspaper has an update on the situation surrounding Aphiwe Dyantyi. According to the report, Dyantyi’s hearing is set to take place in February 2020, after the wing tested positive for three banned substances. Meanwhile, former Sharks hooker Chiliboy Ralepelle will have his hearing taking place in January next year.
