Three more Springboks from the team that toured New Zealand in 1981 have reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus.
This comes shortly after former Bok centre Danie Gerber, who was part of the same team, also tested positive.
Days before testing positive, Gerber shared a golf day with a number of his former teammates, leading to fears over the health of the 1981 group.
Among those who had participated and stayed at the Border Hotel in Jan Kempdorp were Henning van Aswegen, Burger Geldenhuys, Divan Serfontein, Colin Beck and Gysie Pienaar.
Sources have now indicated that Serfontein, Beck and Geldenhuys have all tested Covid-19 positive.
In addition, another former Springbok, Robbie Blair, who was also present at the golf day, has also tested positive.
South Africa is currently in the midst of a 21-day lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic with the country having reported 1,326 positive cases and three deaths as of Monday evening.
