Rassie Erasmus has confirmed that the Springboks will have a fully fit squad as Cheslin Kolbe has recovered from injury for the World Cup final.

Kolbe has been battling an ankle injury since South Africa’s third pool game against Italy three weeks ago. While he featured in the quarter-final win against Japan, he was unable to train and subsequently left out of the match-day squad for the semi-final win over Wales.

However, Erasmus confirmed that the star wing has recovered and that he would be able to chose from all 31 of his World Cup squad for the final against England in Yokohama on Saturday.

‘We are lucky enough to have a full squad of all 31 players available and ready to train today,’ Erasmus said.

Should Kolbe return to the starting lineup, he would likely replace Sbu Nkosi on the right wing.
