Lions prop Ruan Dreyer joined the Springbok squad in Perth on Monday.

He was originally named in the Bok squad, but stayed behind in South Africa for the birth of his first child last week.

He also played for the Golden Lions in their Currie Cup clash against the Pumas on Saturday, before making the trip to Australasia.

Upon his arrival in Perth, Dreyer said he was ‘blessed’ and ‘very grateful’ when asked to describe his experiences over the past few days.

Coach Allister Coetzee will announce the Springbok team for the Test against Wallabies on Thursday morning South African time.
