The Springboks have dropped to fifth in the World Rugby rankings, while the All Blacks have extended their lead at the top.
South Africa’s 25-24 loss to New Zealand at Newlands on Saturday has seen them demoted one place in the rankings, with their points tally shrinking from 85.35 to 85.04.
The All Blacks earned a 0.31 rating point increase from 95.21 to 95.52, extending their overall lead over the chasing pack to 5.38 points.
Meanwhile, the Wallabies have jumped two spots to third following their 37-20 bonus-point win over Argentina in Mendoza. Australia gained 0.93 of a point to elevate their tally to 85.59.
Argentina remain in 10th position, but received a 0.93 point deduction.
