Willie le Roux and Francois Louw have rejoined their English clubs, while another eight Springboks are available for Currie Cup duty this weekend.
With the Rugby Championship taking a one-week break, Le Roux and Louw are obliged to return to Wasps and Bath respectively. It is unclear whether Le Roux, in particular, will be available for the Boks’ matches against the Wallabies in Port Elizabeth on 29 September and the All Blacks in Pretoria on 6 October.
Ross Cronjé (Golden Lions), Marco van Staden, Embrose Papier (both Blue Bulls), Thomas du Toit (Sharks), Wilco Louw, Bongi Mbonambi, Sikhumbuzo Notshe, Damian Willemse (all Western Province) have been released to their provinces for this week.
