Springbok scrumhalf Grant Williams is confident that South Africa can build from their defeat against the All Blacks as they look to bounce back against Argentina in their final Castle Lager Rugby Championship match.
South Africa suffered a 35-20 defeat to rivals New Zealand at the Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland last Saturday.
Jacques Nienaber’s men will now take on Argentina in their final Castle Lager Rugby Championship match which is scheduled to take place at the Emirates Airline Park in Johannesburg on Saturday, 29 July.
Williams is looking at the positive that came out of their defeat to New Zealand as they look to bounce back in the next match against Los Pumas.
“Personally I think we could have been better in the aerial battle. It’s something they made changes to in their game. But as a team we’ll take the positives that we can from the match and build on that,” Williams said.
“I joined the Boks in 2021, so I’ve been part of the set-up for a little while,” said Williams. “I’m really enjoying it and I’m learning a lot.
“The backing from the team management and the guys around me is fantastic and it makes it easy for us as players.”
