The return of captain Burger Odendaal is one of three changes to the Bulls’ starting lineup for Saturday’s match against the Brumbies at Loftus.
Odendaal has recovered from the rib injury that kept him out of last week’s match against the Jaguares and slots straight back into the inside centre channel. Handré Pollard reverts to flyhalf with Manie Libbok dropping to the bench.
Up front, Nic de Jager starts at blindside flank and Thembelani Bholi rotates to the bench. The only other change sees Adriaan Strauss playing off the bench as Jaco Visagie earns a rare starting berth at hooker.
Prop Matthys Basson and lock Ruben van Heerden have been named as substitutes ahead of Frans van Wyk and Hendré Stassen.
Bulls – 15 Warrick Gelant, 14 Travis Ismaiel, 13 Jesse Kriel, 12 Burger Odendaal (c), 11 Johnny Kotze, 10 Handré Pollard, 9 Ivan van Zyl, 8 Marco van Staden, 7 Nic de Jager, 6 Roelof Smit, 5 RG Snyman, 4 Jason Jenkins, 3 Conraad van Vuuren, 2 Jaco Visagie, 1 Trevor Nyakane.
