DHL Stormers flyhalf Jean-Luc Du Plessis has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a groin injury.
The 22-year-old sustained the injury against the Jaguares at Newlands a fortnight ago, ruling him out of last Saturday’s game against the Kings in Port Elizabeth.
Du Plessis only underwent scans on Monday 14 March, which revealed that he has a bone stress injury to the pubic bone, complicating the recovery from his groin strain.
The Stormers will enjoy a bye in round four with their next game coming against the Sunwolves in Singapore on 25 March.
