Rebels scrumhalf Will Genia has been ruled out of their tour to South Africa with a hamstring injury.
Genia suffered the injury in the Rebels’ last-minute loss to the Jaguares on Saturday, leaving the field early in the second half.
The 30-year-old appeared to pull his hamstring when his run and pass set up fullback Dane Haylett-Petty for the Rebels’ third try.
Genia, who was replaced by Tate McDermott during the match, will now miss the games against the Bulls and the Stormers on 21 and 28 April respectively.
