Jaco Kriel will be sidelined for a further six months as he is set to undergo a second shoulder operation after the initial corrective surgery was unsuccessful.
The Lions and Bok flank sustained a labrum shoulder tear against the Wallabies in Perth on 9 September and underwent corrective surgery a few days later.
Kriel has been in rehabilitation since, but the Lions on Wednesday confirmed the 28-year-old is set for an extended six-month spell on the sidelines after the first operation was deemed unsuccessful due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’.
