Injured hooker Malcolm Marx says he should be ready to return to the playing field in two weeks’ time.
Marx suffered a hamstring injury while playing for the Lions against the Hurricanes in May. The 23-year-old was subsequently ruled out of the Boks’ three-Test series against England.
The good news for Lions fans is that Marx expects to be back for the business end of Super Rugby.
‘The recovery process after my hamstring injury is going better and better,’ he told Rapport newspaper. ‘It’s not yet certain but I think I should be able to play again in two weeks’ time. Time will tell.’
The Lions’ first match after the June Test break will be against the Sharks at Kings Park on 30 June.
