Bulls scrumhalf Rudy Paige is expected to be fit by the end of February having had groin surgery in early January.

Paige, who complained of a painful groin after the Boks’ end-of-year tour, joins Ruan Steenkamp and Ivan van Zyl on the Bulls’ long-term injury list.

Meanwhile, Hendré Stassen, Corniel Els, Jannes Kirsten and Jesse Kriel are all taking part in selected team sessions.

Gerhard Steenekamp and JT Jackson should be back in action by the end of January, while Shaun Adendorff and Dries Swanepoel have returned to full training.
