The Chiefs will be without 20 unavailable players when they take on the Sharks at Kings Park this Saturday.
All Blacks Nathan Harris, Brodie Retallick, Damian McKenzie, Anton Lienert-Brown and Sam Cane are all unavailable for selection after they were called up to the national camp in preparation for the June Test series against France.
The Chiefs will also be without the services of 15 other players due to injury, meaning they’ll only have 18 of their initial 38-man squad available.
Coach Colin Cooper has since called up reinforcements – including uncapped trio Mitch Jacobson (loose forward), Luteru Laulala (utility back) and Matt Matich (flank) – to join the team in Durban.
The match between the Sharks and Chiefs kicks off at 3:05pm on Saturday.
