Stormers duo Rynhardt Elstadt and wing Seabelo Senatla have been ruled out for three months and six weeks respectively due to injury.

The Stormers’ 44-31 victory over the Sunwolves came at cost, as four players were injured in the match in Singapore.

Scans confirmed flank Elstadt suffered a full syndesmosis ankle tear and will undergo surgery, after which he will be sidelined for three months.

Wing Senatla has an extensive midfoot sprain including a fracture, ruling him out of action for up to six weeks.

Additionally, prop Wilco Louw sustained an injury to his sternum, and lock JD Schickerling is recovering from a concussion. Both players will miss the match against the Cheetahs, but are expected to be fit to face the Chiefs next weekend.

Outside back Cheslin Kolbe and scrumhalf Jano Vermaak have recovered from their respective injuries and are available for selection against the Cheetahs at Newlands on Saturday.
