Marius van der Westhuizen will referee Saturday’s match between the Vodacom Bulls and Sharks at Loftus Versfeld.

Van der Westhuizen was in charge of the Crusaders’ game against the Reds in Brisbane last weekend, after which Sanzaar admitted an error was made when the Crusaders were prevented from bringing starting flyhalf Richie Mo’unga back on to the field as an HIA replacement for Mitchell Hunt, leading to the defending champions finishing the match with 14 men.

He will be assisted by Egon Seconds and Divan Uys, while Christie du Preez will be the TMO.

Earlier on Saturday, the Lions’ clash with the Jaguares will be officiated by Rasta Rasivhenge, who will be assisted by Cwengile Jadezweni and Griffin Colby, with Willie Vos as the TMO.
