SuperSport United have extended the trail period of the former Wydad Casablanca striker Ibrahima Sory Keita with the club.

The Senegalese striker has already made seven appearances in the Caf Champions League for Wydad Casablanca this season.

Keita has been on trial with Matsatsantsa since last week and the striker has made a good impression at the club

Coach Stuart Baxter revealed that the club will keep assessing the 22-year-old’s progress with the reserve side.

‘He played in a game with the reserve team and scored. He is not bad,’ Baxter said.

‘We will keep looking at him. He is a very good lad, very good, hard-working and has a decent background.’

SuperSport United will now face Maritzburg United in the Absa Premiership at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Wednesday.

Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
