Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter has made eight changes to his squad ahead of their must-win Fifa World Cup qualifier against Burkina Faso on Saturday.
The South African national team will host Burkina Faso at the FNB Stadium in their fourth qualifier in Group D as they look to claim all three points on home soil.
Defenders Morgan Gould, Sifiso Hlanti and midfielder Themba Zwane are the only players in the squad to have featured in Bafana’s previous encounter against Cape Verde.
Itumeleng Khune makes his return by replacing Wayne Sandilands after missing out on their last two qualifiers against Cape Verde due to a chest infection.
Baxter also made two changes to his defensive line by naming debutant Thamsanqa Mkhize, who comes in to replace the injured Ramahlwe Mphahlele at right back, while Clayton Daniels comes in for Thulani Hlatshwayo.
With Hlompho Kekana and Keagan Dolly starting from the bench and Dean Furman serving a suspension, Bongani Zungu comes in to play alongside Kamohelo Mokotjo, together with Sibusiso Vilakazi, Andile Jali and Themba Zwane.
Baxter has opted to start Percy Tau up front as the lone striker, with Lebogang Mothiba, Dino Ndlovu and Bradley Grobler to start from the bench.
The match at the FNB Stadium kicks off at 15:00.
