Neymar and the rest of the Brazilian team were the last team to arrive in Doha as they prepare to participate at the 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar.

It was around 23:00 local time when the South American team’s flight from Turin, Italy, where they have been based this week landed (21:00GMT).

Brazil, seeking a record sixth world championship, had a fantastic qualifying campaign, winning every game and coming out on top of the lone South American qualifying group.

The World Cup kicks off this Sunday with the hosts taking on Ecuador, and Tite’s team was the last of the 32 to arrive.

Brazil, eliminated by Belgium in the quarterfinals of the 2018 tournament in Russia, will kick off their campaign the following Thursday against Serbia.

Twenty years have passed since Brazil’s last World Cup win, which was sparked by the attacking triumvirate of Ronaldo, Rivaldo, and Ronaldinho.

The class of 2022 will have their first practice at Al Arabi stadium on Sunday evening.

Neymar, a forward for the French club Paris Saint-Germain and the most expensive player in the world, is in great shape for his third World Cup.

In 19 games in Ligue 1 and the Champions League, the 30-year-old has scored 13 goals and set up 11 others.

They haven’t lost in the last 15 games. In 2021, Lionel Messi’s Argentina beat Brazil in the Copa America final at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracana stadium.

Brazil is in Group G with the Serbs, Switzerland, and Cameroon. The Serbs and Switzerland are old foes from four years ago.
