Cape Town City coach Eric Tinkler says his side has room for improvement but will enter their Carling Knockout Cup clash against Royal AM with a positive mindset and a positive attitude.
The Citizens come into this match full of confidence after claiming a 1-0 victory over SuperSport United in their previous match at Athlone Stadium.
Royal AM, meanwhile, were forced to share the spoils with Magesi FC in their previous match after playing out to a goalless draw at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Tinkler admits that his side lacks a sense of belief and confidence but insists they are working on correcting that.
“We’re not far off, but I still think there’s a little bit of lack of belief in some of the guys – they’ve got to have a little bit more belief and confidence in themselves and collectively,” Tinkler said as per SuperSport.
“A lot of mistakes that we’ve made over the past couple of weeks, results not where we wanted to be, to be brutally honest. So there’s still a lot of work for us to be doing over the next couple of weeks to try and correct those mistakes.
“It’s going to be a lot easier, especially after this [win against SuperSport United] to go into this period now with a positive mindset and a positive attitude.”
