Richards Bay coach Brandon Truter will turn his attention to the Carling Knockout Cup following their defeat to Orlando Pirates.

The Natal Rich Boys will be hoping to bounce back following their narrow 1-0 defeat to the Buccaneers at the Orlando Stadium in the Betway Premiership on Tuesday evening.

The defeat leaves Richards Bay in 12th place on the log with five points from seven games, having won one, drawn two, and conceded four defeats.

The KwaZulu-Natal outfit will now take on newly promoted side Magesi FC in the semi-final on Saturday.

“It’s a lot to manage, we have a semi-final on Saturday as well, we had to rejig, we had to protect Moses Mthembu, it’s a bit of a crisis management but we have it under control,” Truter told SuperSport TV after the game.

“It’s hectic but I’ve said it in the past, the boys are managing it well, looking after themselves and the support from the club and so we’ll see how it goes. It’s a cup competition, it brings a different environment, a different feel. It’s a good effort from them tonight.
