Scotland’s Celtic and English giants Manchester City played out to an exciting 3-3 draw in Champions League action on Wednesday.

Man City got off to the worst possible start in the match as Moussa Dembele had the ball in the back of the net after just three minutes following a cleverly worked free kick.

Dembele was at it again just three minutes later as he forced Claudio Bravo into a save with a quick turn and shot, before former City player Scott Sinclair almost set up Tom Rogic.

City were straight back in the game after just 12 minutes as Fernandinho collected a scuffed Aleksandar Kolarov shot from long distance to stick home from close range.

The game continued to in end-to-end fashion over the following minutes before Celtic surprisingly regained the lead. The goal came as Raheem Sterling was unfortunate enough to deflect a cross into the back of his own net.

It didn’t take Sterling long to respond, however, as the English wing timed a quick dart to perfection to roll the ball into the net following a ball from David Silva with 28 minutes on the clock.

Nicolas Otamendi came close with a header for his side as City looked to push forward before the break but there were to be no further goals as the score remained 2-2 at the interval.

Celtic regained the lead for a third time just two minutes into the second-half as Kolarov made a hash of a clearance, allowing Dembele to acrobatically fire home. City looked to hit back straight away through Nolito but he was denied.

Nolito didn’t have to wait long for a second chance, however, as a Sergio Aguero shot spilled into his path and he duly tapped home to tie the scores up at 3-3 after 55 minutes.

Man City finally began to stamp some authority on the game as time wore on and Celtic were slowly but surely forced further and further back.

There were no more chances forthcoming, however, and at the final whistle the scores remained all square at 3-3.
