Cape Town City have made their second signing of the transfer window after confirming the arrival of 21-year-old Kenyan striker Masoud Juma for an undisclosed transfer fee.
The Citizens made their second signing of the season following the acquisition of Kwanda Mngonyama from Maritzburg United, which followed the transfers of Lehlohonolo Majoro and Aubrey Ngoma to Bidvest Wits and Mamelodi Sundowns respectively.
The highly-rated Kenya international joins the club from Kariobangi Sharks where he reportedly garnered interest from clubs in Europe, Egypt, and South Africa, but in the end it was John Comitis’ side who proved successful in their bid.

The striker is expected to receive his work permit this week and could meet up with his new teammates ahead of the team’s continental and domestic competitions.
Former Bafana Bafana top-scorer Benni McCarthy spoke highly of Juma, suggesting that his signing could prove to be a massive coup for the team.
‘At just 21, Juma has proven to be Africa’s most prolific goalscorer. His quality is evident, as is the interest for him in Europe,’ McCarthy told the club’s website.
‘He is still young and needs to be nurtured. But once he adapts and settles in, he has all the makings of a lethal out and out nine…
‘We’ve had to rely on our possessional dominance to win games. Most of our goals come from midfielders.
‘We’re building a team for the future so it’s nice to start putting together a group of young promising strikers who can score goals for the club going forward,’ he concluded.
Juma finished as the top-scorer in Africa last year with 25 goals.
