Barcelona have reached the final of the Spanish Super Cup following a 2-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Barca will play either Real Madrid or Mallorca in the decider, with those two to face-off on Thursday night.

Goals from Gavi and a fit-again Lamine Yamal secured the win, as Barca look to add to their 14 Super Cup wins, the most in the history of the competition.

Gavi opened the scoring in the 17th minute and Yamal doubled Barca’s lead seven minutes after the break.

There was more good new for coach Hansi Flick following the decision by Spain’s National Sports Council (CSD) to allow Barca to provisionally register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor this season.

Barcelona signed the two players at the start of the campaign but due to the club being unable to meet LaLiga’s wage cap, they were only allowed to be registered for the first half of the season.

The pair were unable to play in the semifinal, but should be able to take part in Sunday’s decider.

It is a huge boost to Barca’s chances in both LaLiga and UEFA Champions league this season.
