Cape Town City have revealed that defender Taariq Fielies could return to action when they welcome Golden Arrows to Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.
The 27-year-old has been out of action since undergoing an operation at the end of last season.
However, Benni McCarthy has been handed a major boost as Fielies looks likely to make his return on Sunday.
City currently occupies 10th place in the Absa Premiership standings with six points, having won just one out of their first five league fixtures this season.
The Citizens confirmed the news on their official Twitter page, which reads: ‘City Defender Taariq Fielies is back and looks set to make his return in this weekend’s game against Golden Arrows.’
