Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp has revealed that Samir Nurkovic, Reeve Fosler, Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya and George Maluleka will all be available for the Telkom Knockout clash with Cape Town City.
The quartet missed both the Shell Helix Cup win over Mamelodi Sundowns and the Macufe Cup loss to Bloemfontein Celtic over the weekend as they overcame their respective injuries.
They were all, however, involved in full training on Tuesday and Wednesday. Middendorp said during a media open day that he decided to rest them over the weekend so that they would be available for this weekend’s clash with the Citizens.

‘We had a long chat about this [who to rest] at the FNB on Friday afternoon to say, OK, how advisable is it to play George, to play Reeve, use Samir and Ntiya-Ntiya and the medical department decided in the end that the risk is too much,’ said the German coach.
‘On Tuesday all these players that we didn’t use on the weekend, they were in full training session, they did it yesterday and they will again today, meaning that all these four players will be available for selection on Saturday.’
