Kaizer Chiefs forward Lazarous Kambole is determined to help his team by scoring more goals after netting his first goal of the campaign against Chippa United this past weekend.
The Zambia forward bagged only his second goal for Amakhosi since joining the club in August 2020 with the final goal during their 4-0 rout of Chippa.
With the likes of Leonardo Castro and Samir Nurković out injured, Kambole has now staked his claim as an option up front for the Soweto giants.
The 27-year-old will now be looking to build on that confidence-boosting goal as they prepare for their upcoming DStv Premiership clash with SuperSport United.
“It was a great game. We dominated the whole game. We created a lot of chances and thankfully we took them,” Kambole told his club’s official website.
“It is good to be back in the team. To be on the scoresheet is a great feeling and I am happy for the team and I am happy for the goal.
“I am hoping that going forward I can score more goals for the team.
“The most important thing is to focus on the things you can change. You just have to continue working hard and the goals will come. I have to put in a lot of effort in training and pray for more goals to come.”
