Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela cut a frustrated figure following his sides 2-2 draw against SuperSport United, but maintained that there is everything play for in the title race.
The Naturena based-outfit’s hopes of clinching the PSL title were handed a massive blow when they conceded a last minute goal against Matsatsantsa to drop down to fourth position on the table.
Komphela’s charges have endured a tough week of football, which saw them being dismissed from the Nedbank Cup at the hands of SuperSport, in addition to suffering two last minute goals in the 3-2 league loss against Cape Town City and the 2-2 stalemate against SuperSport respectively.
‘It is disappointing to drop points this way,’ Komphela is quoted as saying by the Chiefs website.
‘Looking at the missed chances, United (SuperSport United) must be celebrating this point gained.
‘Once more the performance was great. We gave it away in the last minute. I thought we should have wrapped it up earlier in the game. We missed good chances,’ he added.

Komphela called for his side to maintain better focus towards the closing stages of the games, in addition to taking their chances.
‘Our defence was questionable at the end. We gave away easy goals. Even if you go back up to Baroka match, we let their player run a distance to get into the box.
‘There’s still everything to play for. We must just grab our chances.
‘We need to concentrate more. Check how we lost against Cape Town City, last kick of the match. We will keep playing until the end,’ he said.
Despite Komphela’s optimism, the Soweto giants sit in fourth position on the table, five points adrift of table-toppers Bidvest Wits who have a game in hand.
