‘I thought we did turn the screw, all the pressure was on them [SuperSport] in the second half, but it wasn’t to be. All we can ask our players is to keep fighting for every point available and they’ve done that today, I’m proud of their efforts today,’ Larsen said after the match.

‘The attitude they have is that they believe they can take on any team in the league and they showed it tonight, even before the red card I thought we were on top of them, we started dominating them in the second half.’

The 45-year-old coach has credited his players fighting spirit and says he is now looking forward to their next game against Chippa United at the Prince Magogo Stadium.

‘Credit to the players, they’ve bought into the fighting spirit and theme of the club and as a technical team, we couldn’t ask for anymore,’ he added.

‘We’ll look forward to the next game, there’s a long break [until October 15], but I’m very proud of the performance of the players.’
