Bloemfontein Celtic forward Tshegofatso Mabaso believes his side are ready and focused to take on Mamelodi Sundowns in the Telkom Knockout on Saturday, writes DYLAN APPOLIS.
Siwelele and the Brazilians have already played each other once this campaign when they played to a goalless draw at the Seisa Ramabodu Stadium in the Absa Premiership on 3 October.
However, Steve Komphela’s side will be hoping to turn their current form around by advancing to the Telkom Knockout quarter-final.
Mabaso expressed his excitement at taking on Pitso Mosimane side, although he expects Sundowns to put up a real right, with it being a cup tie after all.
‘Everyone is excited and raring to go you know. We haven’t been performing well the last couple of games and now it’s time for us to improve on our showing and get back to winning ways,’ Mabaso
‘It’s going to be a very tough encounter but this is a cup competition and there has to be a winner on the day. We are focused and we are ready for the game
‘Well we just have to stick to our game plan and implement coach’s instructions and I believe that will pull us through.’

The 22-year-old has been in great form for Celtic this campaign – having already bagged three goals and assisted a further three from eight appearances in all competitions.
‘I’m ready. Personally, for me I just have to stay focused and do my best to get a goal and help the team win the game. After all that’s my job as a striker,’ he added.
‘Yes, definitely and that is to score goals. I do it in every match I play.’
Bloemfontein Celtic will take on Mamelodi Sundowns in the Telkom Knockout which takes place at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday with kick off set for 6pm.
