Ajax Cape Town goalkeeper Brandon Petersen has revealed that he dreams of one day playing his football in Europe.
This season the 22-year-old has been commanding between the sticks for the Urban Warriors since the departure of Anssi Jaakkola to Reading.
Petersen has revealed that his ambition is to ply his trade abroad within the next five years, however, he insists that he will take it season by season.
‘In the next five years, my ambition is to obviously go overseas,’ Petersen told the Ajax Cape Town website.
‘My focus isn’t really on five years time, but to take each season one step at a time.
‘I believe, that the more I play, the more I will improve and the bigger benefit it will be for me – my chances will be better to go overseas.’
The former Ajax youth product has also opened up about his aspiration of one day donning a Bafana Bafana jersey and become their number one choice goalkeeper.
‘Obviously, to also break into the national team and, in the future, be the number one goalkeeper of the country,’ he added.
When the Absa Premiership returns, Ajax Cape Town will take on Kaizer Chiefs on October 15.
The match at Moses Mabhida Stadium kicks off at 18:00.
