Ederson keeps City unbeaten

Luka Milivojevic missed an injury time penalty as Manchester City kept their unbeaten record alive with a goalless draw at Selhurst Park.

Milivojevic’s meek effort was easily saved by Ederson as City dropped points for just the second time in the season.

Palace midfielder Milivojevic had the chance to inflict pain on City in what could have been their first defeat of the campaign, after Raheeem Sterling had fouled Wilfried Zaha, but his penalty down the middle was stopped by Ederson’s legs.

Ederson had saved Patrick van Aanholt’s deflected shot in the first half before Eagles defender Scott Dann and City forward Gabriel Jesus were forced off injured.

In the second half, Leroy Sane’s shot was saved at point-blank range by Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey while Andros Townsend fired over a fantastic chance.

City, who had claimed 18 consecutive league victories, are 14 points clear at the top while Palace are in 17th place, one point ahead of the bottom three.
