Multiple records were broken on Saturday evening as Everton beat Liverpool 2-0 at Anfield, extending the Reds’ losing streak to four.

Everton got off to the perfect start as James Rodriguez slipped in Richarlison to fire home the opener with just three minutes on the clock.

Jurgen Klopp’s team were denied by Jordan Pickford on a couple of occasions before disaster struck with yet another defensive injury as captain Jordan Henderson was forced off.

The Reds dominated throughout proceedings but could not break down the well-organised Everton team.

With seven minutes of regulation time remaining, the Toffees put the game to bed as Gylfi Sigurdson hit the back of the net from the penalty spot, after Dominic Calvert-Lewin was brought down by Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Everton managed to see out the game sealing a historic win at the home of their greatest rivals.
