Game week six in the Premier League proved to be a nightmare for VAR and the refereeing officials as a number of high-profile mistakes cost numerous teams points. Watch the incidents here.
In the two incidents that stood out, West Ham were denied a late equaliser at Stamford Bridge while Newcastle were denied a goal in their 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace.
However, Everton had a case to be upset as Virgil van Dijk could have been shown a red if his high challenge was reviewed, while Aston Villa had what looked like a perfectly good goal denied as well.
Absolute shambles this VAR. it was a clear push on Willock . It was either let the goal stand or a penalty. #nufc pic.twitter.com/nuOIWLjg3U

Van dijk should’ve been sent off against Everton today. Newcastle robbed of a goal today.Leeds should’ve had a penalty which overall resulted in their manager being sent off.West Ham robbed of a goal wth the worst #VAR decision we’ve ever seen. Originally, the Video Assistant Referee was said to be used to overturn a subjective decision if a “clear and obvious error” had been identified. @WestHam’s disallowed goal fails to meet that standard. #VAR #PGMOL #PremierLeague #CHEWHU pic.twitter.com/EIcS30EU2K
