Wenger’s 22 year tenure at the club will come to an end at the conclusion of this season and the man who has been Arsenal through and through for the best part of two decades gave an emotional farewell after his final home game as the Gunners boss on Sunday.
The Emirates Stadium remained packed to the rafters after full time as thousands stayed behind to pay homage to Arsenal’s and one of the Premier League’s greatest ever managers.
‘Thank you all for having me for such a long time, I know it’s not been easy. But above all I am like you, I am an Arsenal fan. That mean’s that this is more than just football, its a way of life.’
