The Premier Soccer League (PSL) conducted the draw for the Absa Premiership promotion/relegation playoffs on Monday, writes DEAN WORKMAN.

The promotion/relegation playoffs will see the team who finishes 15th in the PSL battle against the teams who finish second and third in the National First Division. A league-format system will see all three clubs play against one another home and away, and the side that leads the log at the end will receive promotion or avoid relegation.

This season’s draw was held during a PSL executive meeting and for the very first time, members of the media were invited to join in order to create greater transparency, according to PSL chairman Dr Irvin Khoza.

Although the teams who will finish in the playoff spots are yet to be confirmed, the draw allows the PSL to have the schedule, dates and fixtures confirmed before the end of the season.

23 May 2018: PD 15 vs NFD 3
26 May 2018: PD 15 vs NFD 2
30 May 2018: NFD 2 vs NFD 3
