Chippa United midfielder Strydom Wambi says Baroka are determined to fight for points ahead of their Absa Premiership clash on February 8.
The 30-year-old has already made 13 appearances for the Chilli Boys this season, with his only goal coming against Baroka in their last Absa Premiership encounter in September.
Wambi says he is expecting different Baroka side to the one they faced in the first round of the PSL, stating that they will be ‘fighting for points’.
‘Past results count for nothing in football. It is a new year and they will come here to fight for points,’ Wambi told the Chippa United website.
‘The focus for us now is to continue to work to work on our fitness and focus on improving as a team. We must play our game, remain united, follow the coach’s instructions and when we have all these elements it is difficult for teams to stop us.’
When the Absa Premiership resumes, Chippa United will place Baroka on February 7.
The match at the Nelson Mandela Stadium kicks off at 19:30.
