Ahmed Musa scored a brace to help Nigeria to a 2-0 win over Iceland in their Group D World Cup fixture on Friday night.
Both sides failed to find the net in the first half, with Nigeria having a lot of the ball, but Iceland created the better chances.

The game then sprung into life when Musa opened the scoring on 49 minutes. The striker expertly brought the ball down from a Victor Moses cross before smashing the ball past the keeper.

The CSKA Moscow striker then grabbed his second with 75 minutes gone, using his pace to get around the defender before showing great composure to steady himself and find the back of the net.
There was late drama when Iceland were awarded a penalty after a VAR review going into the final 10 minutes. Gylfi Sigurdsson, however, stepped up and sent his shot over the bar.

Nigeria won 2-0 and kept their hopes of reaching the last-16 alive, while also giving Argentina a chance.
