Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has heaped praise on Alex Iwobi and insists there is much more to come from the academy graduate.
The 20-year-old was heavily involved in the Gunners three second-half goals against Swansea City and also saw two of his efforts deflected in for own goals before starting the move which led to his side’s fourth.
The 67-year-old manager has praised Iwobi’s team attitude and he believes that the Nigerian forward has enough time to improve his performance if he keeps the same attitude.
‘He is more and more comfortable in the team,’ Wenger told the Arsenal website.
‘But I think Alex Iwobi, above all his talent, is a guy who has a fantastic team attitude.
‘He is gaining in confidence as well. You could see overall that he develops very well. If he keeps that kind of spirit he has at the moment, he can go much higher up. That’s my wish.’
Arsenal will next welcome Burnley to the Emirates Stadium when the two side’s meet in the Premier League on Sunday.
Kick-off has been scheduled for 16:15.
