Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane insists that previous result means nothing as he believes derbies are “very unpredictable”.

Amakhosi are set to do battle with arch-rivals Orlando Pirates when they two teams square off in the latest edition of the Soweto derby clash at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday.

Chiefs will be looking for a positive result as they are aiming to move above Pirates on the table, with Amakhosi currently occupying fifth place on the log, a points and position behind the Buccaneers.

Zwane has stressed the importance of focusing on the task at hand as he believes previous results will not help or determine the outcome of the upcoming fixture.

“Derbies are very unpredictable. Previous results count for nothing.

“It doesn’t matter who is performing better than the other, what is key is what happens on the day of the game… who is going to be in charge of the game, who’s going to be in control and score enough goals to win the game.”
