Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane insists they will bring their “A game” when they do battle against Orlando Pirates in the Soweto derby on Saturday.
The Glamour Boys are set to travel to the Orlando Stadium for this mouth-watering fixture against their arch-rivals the Buccaneers as both teams look to walk away with all three points and bragging rights.
Chiefs will come into this fixture sitting in fifth place on the table with 18 after 12 games, while Pirates sit a point and a place above them in fourth position after the same number of matches.
Zwane is determined to walk away with maximum points to celebrate with the fans as well as to celebrate the Chairman’s birthday month.
“The mood is good in the camp. The boys are looking good. Yes, we know this is a big one and we really want to put a smile on our supporters’ faces because this is one game we the Amakhosi family pride ourselves [in Chiefs’ winning record] … so, we are going to have to make sure we bring our A-game to this one and, as it is also the Chairman’s birthday month, we’d like to give him this present of three points.”
“We also want to finish the first round [of the league] on a high note, which will be a good thing for preparing for the second round of the season,” he adds.
