Mamelodi Sundowns vs SuperSport United headlines the opening weekend of the 2019-20 Absa Premiership fixtures, while Orlando Pirates will host Bloemfontein Celtic and Kaizer Chiefs are away at Highlands Park.
The Premier Soccer League chairman, Dr Irvin Khoza, announced the opening weekend fixtures for the upcoming season at a media conference on Wednesday. He revealed that the defending Absa Premiership champions will be up against their Tshwane rivals in SuperSport in what is arguably the biggest game of the opening weekend.
The game will take place at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, 3 August with the game set to kick off at 3pm.

Pirates will begin their hopes of lifting the league cup when they host Bloemfontein Celtic at Orlando Stadium, where new Buccaneers signings Tshegofatso Mabasa, Kabelo Dlamini and Bongani Sam will take on their former side.
Chiefs will be looking for huge improvements on last season and start their campaign with a tough away match against Highlands Park at Makhulong Stadium, with kick-off at 3pm.
