Kaizer Chiefs were left to rue their missed chance after they suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat to AmaZulu in their DStv Premiership clash at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday evening.
Usuthu showed their intent early in the game and managed to break the deadlock after 14 minutes when former Chiefs man Dumisani Zuma headed home a George Maluleka corner to make it 1-0.
Amakhosi were then gifted a penalty a minute later after Ashley du Preez was fouled in the box. Bonfils Caleb-Bimenyimana stepped up but had his spot kick saved by AmaZulu keeper Veli Mothwa.

AmaZulu responded and doubled their lead seven minutes before the break when Maluleka assisted another goal from a corner kick, this time headed in by another former Chiefs man Ramahlwe Mphahlele.

The home side then capitalised on a mistake by Itumeleng Khune when Sere Junior Dion blocked his poor clearance to fire the ball into an empty net on the stroke of half time.

Kgaogelo Sekgota, who was introduced eight minutes into the second half, nearly pulled a goal by for Amakhosi in the 76th minute but he could not bypass Mothwa in goal for Usuthu.
Bonginkosi Ntuli put the final nail in the coffin when he rounded Khune to slot the ball home in stoppage time as AmaZulu held on for a comfortable victory at home.
